Paul Components: Because we can

Based out of an old Texaco warehouse in Chico, California, Paul Component Engineering has been a staple of the bicycle community for over 25 years.

Paul Components: Because we can

Paul’s Components came to NAHBS with three new items: the Klamper disc brake, the Boxcar stem, and a new, unnamed through axle (sizes to be determined).

The Klamper disc brake features pad adjusters on each side, providing easy, individualized to each side, on-the-go adjustments. Contrasting anodization makes the large, friendly sized pad adjusters stand out. Our favorite version featured a violet brake with orange adjusters. The company’s new T-shirt celebrates the design, and staffers praise its easy adjustability versus the more-complicated adjustability of now-familiar hydraulic brakes.

The Boxcar stem is aptly named and is machined out of a solid piece of aluminum. It is straightforward, no-nonsense, and for those who enjoy simple designs, gorgeous.

The as-yet unnamed through axles have an elegant quick release on them encircling glorious empty space--light and elegant. Sizes are yet to be determined.
